About Us

LJ and Lisa moved to Tennessee in 2009, where they pursued their careers in education and product design respectively. They have lived in the Pleasant View area since 2011. LJ’s true passion has always been cooking for his family and others, trying his own innovative twists to familiar recipes. The two of them began cooking up the idea of a food truck in 2016, and finally were able to realize that dream in late 2022. With a little creative ingenuity, and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, the Chicken Strippers truck was born!

Wanting to serve simple comfort food, LJ decided on the classic southern fried chicken, pairing it with homemade dipping sauces. After forcing many friends and family members to be guinea pigs, LJ has narrowed down the most popular sauces while adding his own personal flair.

The truck can be found at local spots, and is currently scheduling for upcoming festivals in the Middle Tennessee area.

A majority of the menu is gluten free, to help serve the needs of everyone in the community, and we will have vegan items added to our menu in the future. Chicken Strippers is in the process of obtaining various community permits.
